Joshua Gritz

Architectural Designer | LEED GA

Josh received his Master of Architecture from the Parsons School of Design in 2024 after completing his B.S. in Architecture at the University of Virginia in 2018. He believes in the power of humor to bolster a deeply held sense of social responsibility.

Josh has experience across the building industry as a Building Information Modelling (BIM) consultant for a general contractor and a designer on residential and commercial projects. He recently worked client-side with Pride Live, in conjunction with EDG Architects, Local Projects, and the National Parks Service, to conceptualize, design, and build the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center (SNMVC), the first in the National Park System to honor LGBTQ history specifically. During this work, he was invited to speak on an AARP panel about the use of the word "queer" across generations. He also helped oversee major design decisions and construction progress, worked with donors on the content of their exhibitions, and wrote monthly newsletters about the project.

In Spring 2025, Josh co-taught the Parsons Housing Studio with Katie Swenson of MASS Design Group, exploring Home Making and Housing Plus strategies in Poughkeepsie.
