Grand Concourse Pied-a-Ciel
Bronx, New York City
This 1000 SF apartment at the top of a landmarked mid-century tower along the Bronx's Grand Concourse is an essay in space efficiency maximized for display and entertaining. The apartment was opened up and reconfigured to function as "the perfect short-term urban suite". Occupied, 2-3 days per week, it's the perfect light and art-filled urban pied-a terre, the effect of which is "living in the clouds", thus "Pied-a-ciel".

Work and play;
storage and display

The entire apartment was opened up and reconfigured to add a small power room for guests that shares a connected shower with the primary bathroom, an essay in NYC space-use efficiency.
